The Manual of Life

Barasoain Weekly Reflection for 2 – 8 September 2018

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

– Psalm 119:105

While cleaning the office where I work on, I saw a manual for our volunteers operating our equipment during masses. The manual includes an illustrated guide on how to operate software including Microsoft PowerPoint and the operating system itself. It is a complete guided approach for people who want to learn on the basic computer operations.

Our life also has a manual on how to live it well. It is called the Bible. The text inside may not be well illustrated like the manual we have but it contains information more valuable than instructions on how to operate a computer. It contains teachings, lessons and important values that a Christian must learn in his/her journey on this planet.

The contents on the book may not always be similar to our present situation, but it is relevant to our lives. As we move on this journey, a guide is important as operating a computer and much more important as it is our lives that we are talking about.

Today, we are invited to reflect on the Word of God written on the Bible. Be guided as you move along in this journey called life.

The Word of God is the light of life
