Misery Loves Company

Barasoain Weekly Reflection for 19 – 25 August 2018

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”

– 2 Corinthians 9:14-15

It is a very busy afternoon in our office in Social Communications in Barasoain Church. We are both doing the broadcast of the afternoon mass and the projection of the slides for the guidance of the mass goers. As of this moment, we are too busy to our tasks that we cannot talk to anyone else.

The people making up our organization are people from different walks of life. Each of us have every race, life, trouble and problems that we are facing. Yet, everyone of us have decided to bring our problems in our service to Christ. It may not make our troubles easier but we made ourselves company to give chance for our troubles to be released.

Everybody in our lives is a way of God to show His love for us during our times of trouble. It may be a friend, relative or someone special we know. Through them, God shows us His humble presence and comfort.

We may feel sometimes that we are alone and want the presence of Lord to comfort us. We may not need to look far, because there are people in our community that will let us feel the Lord’s presence in the midst of the darkest days of our lives.

Since misery loves company, let Jesus Christ guide to you to one
