The Healer

Barasoain Weekly Reflection for 20 – 26 August 2017

“And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.”

Matthew 14:14

Our bodies have an incredible strength and capacity to do great things. It can create things, move objects and manipulate the planet we are living in. The human flesh is such an incredible machine that keeps on going – that is until our death.

Death aside, our bodies may also have limitations. For example, when we are sick our bodies cannot move as good as it can when we are healthy. Some diseases though linger for some time and then suddenly burst out of nowhere.

Jesus Christ, as part of His missionary during His stay on Earth, has healed many people throughout His journey. He even raised the dead. He cured the leper, made the paralytic move, blind see, deaf hear and many more. It shows that Jesus Christ, though as a human, has the capacity to heal others as He is the Son of God, more than powerful than any disease we have.

Today, Jesus Christ is opening His arms to our healing, not only physically but also spiritually. Let us embrace the gift of God which enables us to be free from suffering we have.

Jesus saves – and cures.
