“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

Psalm 62:8

I know a person whose previous week turned out to be disastrous. As his troubles aren’t yet enough, when we last met another problem came up. He was blamed for something he didn’t do, he lost money, he had deadlines and deadlines to beat and he was not given the perfect attendance award in their workplace despite having no absences at all.

All of us have low points in some time of our lives. It may be surprising on how troubled a person is if we are able to see what they hide in their hearts.

Even Christ’s disciples had low points in their lives. Jesus Christ Himself suffered humiliation and pain in order to save us.

Since no human being is safe from troubles and problems, it is important for someone to have strength not only in facing these problems head on but also in faith. Faith becomes a light and our guide when facing the darkest days of our lives. As we are constantly being weighed by our troubles, it is very important that we develop our faith, strength and the will to continue in the race of life.

Light shines when there is darkness.
