Barasoain Weekly Reflection for 22 – 28 January 2017

trust

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deutoronomy 31:6

Today, I visited my colleague who’s brother had recently died. It so happened that the wake is near the exact spot where I had some precious memories. After visiting the wake, I decided to go that spot and take a photo on that very point to see what changed. What my camera took astonished me.

There had been lots of changes in that place and even in our lives. The day I took the initial photo there are buildings and structures that appear then but not now, there are structures who’s color have changed and unlike then, the Skyway project dominates the sky.

In our lives, there are things that we may not be able to control. As such, we are always forced to accept the reality that there is nothing permanent in this world.

Despite the changing nature of our imperfect world, our perfect Creator is steadfast to the love He is giving to us. His shadow of protection gives us strength and keeps us away from harm. Knowing that we are under his protection and putting trust on Him will enable us to face every challenges that will come into our lives.

This week, let us ask God to continually guide us in every day of our lives, giving our full trust and faith to Him.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. – Hebrews 13:8
