“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

Jeremiah 31:25

Two years ago, in the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, a new pope emerges in the face of the Roman Catholic faithful. It was 2013 and the previous pope, Benedict XVI, resigned recently due to advanced age. Francis, his successor, stepped out to the crowd knowing he will not only face the people but also issues and cases within the church.

Such a change has brought a refreshment to all of us. His style is different from his predecessors gaining the respect of the Roman Catholic faithful and other religions as well.

Similar to our lives, we will face time where we will face a refreshing moment in our life, be it a new job, new house, new organization among others. Refreshing moments give us another life to start with, knowing that we have another opportunity to start again avoiding our past mistakes and looking at the future with hope.

Today is the start of another week. Let us allow God to refresh us on this week and have a fresh new start.

Look to God to refresh your weary soul.
