Website Update as of 4 August 2013

Good evening. It has been a while since the church had its website. For now, we are inkling to have the website ready by 31 August 2013, the tentative day were we are expecting to launch the website. We are in the process of ironing out the final version of the website and we are expecting it to be uploaded on the last week of August at its latest to be ready for its launch date. This is a good opportunity since it also coincides with the parish anniversary on that day.

The website is a very high priority project of the Commission on Social Communications since it is the method of communication which has a worldwide reach, as long as a user has an internet connection. It also opens up an opportunity for our mass-goers and tourists to learn more about the church. It also allows some transactions to be done even if not physically present. The possibilities are endlessly exciting.

As part of the project of the Commission on Social Communications, it is an integral core part of the commission’s vision of reaching out to as many as possible. Together with the utilization of newsletter, social network and direct methods, the accomplishment of the mission to reach out to everyone is closer than ever.

The following features have been already added into the website. It is by no means a complete list but should make an excellent preview of the features of the new website.

  • New layout based on HTML5
  • Updated information and lists
  • Increased bandwidth to accommodate traffic spikes
  • Google Maps integration
  • Interactive content

More features are being added from time to time and may or may not appear in the final version of the website. We’ll let you know on the progress of the website from time to time.

As always, it has been both a privilege and an honor to work for a website like this, considering the value of the church not only in spiritual but historical perspective as well. But above all, it is possible only through the graces God has given to each and every one of us. God bless us all. Thank you.
